SUPER PURE SAUSAGE WITH MASHED POTATOES

Ingredients:

  • 8 Super Salçiçe Hako
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 cup of apple juice
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Prepare the sausages:

Heat a pan over medium heat and add some butter or oil. Fry the Hako Super Sausages until they turn golden brown. Remove them and set aside. 

Prepare the sauce:

In the same pan, add the remaining butter and sauté the onions and garlic until softened. Add the flour and cook for one minute, then mix in the mustard and thyme. Gradually add the apple juice and chicken broth, stirring constantly to create a creamy sauce. 

Boil the sausages:

Transfer the sausages to the pan, cover, and let them simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend perfectly. 

Prepare the mashed potatoes:

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash them, mixing with warm milk, butter, salt, and pepper until creamy. 

Assemble the dish:

Serve the sausages over a bed of mashed potatoes, topping them with the delicious onion sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
